Signs Your Flat Roof Is Failing
Flat roofs give you plenty of warning. You can often see the trouble from an upstairs window. If your flat roof shows any of these, ring us ahead of it reaching the ceiling.
- Standing water - puddles still sitting on your roof two days after rain mean it is not draining.
- Blisters and bubbles - raised patches in the surface show that water or air has got under your roof covering.
- Cracks and splits - old felt on your roof goes brittle in the sun and opens up along the joints.
- Lifting edges - where the covering on your roof has come away at the walls or the edge, wind and rain get under it.
- Plants growing on it - growth on your flat roof means water is being held there.
